We organise riding trips since 1980 in different parts of Hungary. We established our own company EQUUS Ltd. in 1989 with the aim to become the best . We wanted to prove that Hungary has excellent possibilities for that. As a background, we have our own horse-breeding farm, with around 80 kisbéri horses . These noble-looking, elegant horses were bred for cavalry officers (Hussars) in the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, in the beginning of the 19-th century. This Hungarian horse-type, which is extremely intelligent and very easy to ride, is a very reliable and enduring partner as well on the riding trips. They are not only perfect for lesuire time hobby riding, but also achieve fantastic results on all fields of equestrian sports. The average height of their withers is 16-17 hands. This breeding has been the most successful stud in Hungary for 12 years now. As the owner of this stud is the riding-leader on these trips, proves the fact that the whole idea was to keep everything in one hand, from the breeding to making use of them on trips, as well as selling them from time to time.
These
specifically Hungarian horses are bred and kept among the best
conditions.They are kept together in a stud, they grow up in natural
surroundings, on wide, huge pastures. János Lóska himself was a member
of the Hungarian Eventing Team, which means, he takes part with most of
horses in competitions, before going with them on riding trips.
On
our riding trips, we offer only the best services. We use only
our own horses, because we know how important it is to have well
trained horses with excellent condition. The riding-schools in Hungary
are qualified by one to five horseshoes. As we are members of
this committee, who qualify the riding schools, so we know where to
find the best accommodation and services. We visit only the best
and most interesting places with our guests.
We organise the riding trips in various parts of Hungary. One is famous for its natural endourment, the other for its history. We would like to show a bit of everything from the great variety of possibilities this country has to offer. The most important part is: to discover Hungary from horseback.We ride around 40-50 km every day, in english-style.The possibilities for riding in Hungary are excellent, we are able to ride days/weeks without seeing fences.
Services on the trips:
6 days riding (only for experienced, good riders, english style!)

HORTOBÁGY
Route: We leave from Tiszafüred, ride through the famous Hortobágy Puszta, then turn to the North and we stop only at the famous wine-cellars in Tokaj. (or the way back)
1. day :
Transfer from Budapest to Tiszafüred, where the horses wait for us. Accommodation and dinner in Hotel Hableány next to the river "Tisza".
2-7. day :
Whole day riding with picnic on the way. Extra program ( visiting the sheperd-museum in Hortobágy, Csikós party in the puszta, an evening in a wine-cellar in Tokaj, thermal-bath and swimming )
8. day:
After breakfast transfer from Tokaj to Budapest.
On
this trip we have big open fields for riding, as we ride through the
National Park.We can see tipical "Puszta animals". Racka sheeps,
grey-cattle, water-buffalo, nóniusz horses, curly hair pigs and lot of
birds. We can get a picture of the life of the sheperds, and one
evening they even cook for us a tipical "puszta-food" called slambuc.
We can relax in a thermal bath as well.

MÁTRA-IPOLY Riding-trip
Route:
We leave from the romantically rustic horse- breeding farm of our
riding leader then ride to Hollókő which was selected among the most
wonderful villages of the World Herritage of UNESCO. After leaving the
Cserhát hills behind, we come to the National Park Ipoly, after which
we reach the Börzsöny hills.
This part of Hungary is full of beautiful hills and forests and marvellous valleys to ride through.
1.day :
Transfer from Budapest to Janos Farm, where we look around and see horses in the breading. Accommodation and dinner.
2-7 day:
Whole day ridings and the extra programs.We stay for a night in Hollókő (in a tipical palóc village.) National Park of Ipoly, we ride through famous hunting areas and historical castles. We ride back to the farm.
8.day: Transfer from the farm back to Budapest.

WAY OF THE LEGEND/ Eger
Route:
We leave from the farm of János through Hollókő, Mátraszele,
Bekölce to the lippizaner horses in Szilvásvárad. We visit the carriage
museum, (In 1985 was the world championship in four-hand driving in
Szilvásvárad, where the hungarians had big success.) We also see the
famous trout breeding of Szilvásvárad and try them as well.. Last day
we ride only in the morning. Later we drive to Eger, a very nice little
city with big history and very good and famous wines. We go to
Szépasszonyvölgy (the wine-cellars) where we try the bulls-blood.
Last day, after breakfast cca. 2 hours drive to Budapest.
